About the Author
B. Sharise Moore is a multi-genre author, classically trained pianist, curriculum developer, workshop facilitator, and Poetry Editor for FIYAH Magazine of Black Speculative Fiction, a Hugo and World Fantasy Award-Winning publication.
Her young adult historical fantasy novel, Dr. Marvellus Djinn’s Odd Scholars, was published by MVMedia in 2021 and in 2022, she curated, edited, and published Conjuring Worlds, a first of its kind Afrofuturist Textbook for Middle and High School Students.
Her forthcoming books include A City Dream (HarperCollins, 2025), Golden: a Story of Yaa Asantewaa (HarperCollins, 2026), Fangs, Feathers, and Folklore: Africa’s Amazing Creatures (Little Brown Books for Young Readers, 2027) and The Marvelous Magic of Ellen Armstrong (Kokila/Penguin Random House, 2027).
