About B. Sharise
B. Sharise Moore is a proud mom, multi-genre author, curriculum developer, workshop facilitator, host of Moore Books w/ B. Sharise, and the Poetry Editor for FIYAH Magazine of Black Speculative Fiction. In 2021, she released her YA novel, Dr. Marvellus Djinn’s Odd Scholars and in 2022, she curated and edited Conjuring Worlds: An Afrofuturist Textbook for Middle and High School Students.
Her forthcoming books include A City Dream (Harper Collins), Golden: a Story of Yaa Asantewaa (Harper Collins), and Fangs, Feathers, and Folklore: Africa’s Amazing Creatures, a first of its kind field guide of more than 40 African mythological creatures (Little, Brown Books for Young Readers) in 2025 & 2026.
